    Riverside Book Discussion - Gender Queer: A Memoir Registration required.

    We will be reading and discussing Gender Queer: A Memoir, which explores author Maia Kobabe’s personal journey to self-discovery and self-identity.

    Copies of the book will be available at Riverside Library starting May 8 for teens 16+ and adults who register for this discussion.

    This book discussion is open to teens 16+ and adults who have read this title and wish to engage in thoughtful conversation. Our goal is to provide a safe space for people to share their thoughts, feelings, and questions in a calm, respectful manner. Please check the box at the end of the registration form indicating that you have read the intent of this book discussion and understand these terms.

    This engaging presentation explores what a pirate is, why people become pirates, democracy on board pirate ships, weapons, tactics, and more. Included in the discussion is a look at the history of pirate hunters from Rhode Island, their exploits locally and abroad, and how the pirate era came to an end. The audience will have a chance to ask questions.
