The goal of the StoryWalk® is to increase children’s interest in books and reading while encouraging healthy outdoor activity for all ages, and reconnecting children and adults to nature. To date, StoryWalks® have been installed in 50 states and 13 countries, including Bermuda, Canada, England, Germany, Malaysia, Pakistan, Russia, South Korea.

The Rhythm Room at WEAVER 10:30am
Weaver Library Lawn41 Grove Avenue, East Providence, RI 02914The Rhythm Room with Rick Morin is coming to Weaver Library! Make some noise and keep the beat with buckets and drumsticks. All instruments provided. This is a hands-on, interactive program and it will be loud! Ear plugs or noise-cancelling headphones are welcome.
*This event will be held outdoors. Please bring a blanket to sit on. In case of inclement weather, the program will be moved indoors and tickets will be available 1 hour before, limit 40 patrons. Ages 0-10.
Audubon Society Presents: Owls of RI at WEAVER 2pm
Students learn about the owls that live in Rhode Island and their habitats, diet, senses, structures and functions. Older students will have the opportunity to test their skills as owl detectives, while younger children will discover owl senses through fun hands-on activities. This program will also feature a live owl!

Project Chick at WEAVER 10:00am
An educator from Casey Farm will present Project Chick which is a slideshow about the life cycle of chickens. This presentation also includes a display of many different bird eggs, and kids get to hold lived chicks at the end. They also bring an adult chicken to show the audience. The educator will also set up an incubator of chicken eggs in the Children’s Room. They will hatch 21 days later.

Anything with a wire!
A $10 disposal fee is charged for each laser-jet printer, wooden stereo speaker, air conditioner, dehumidifier, and other coolant containing devices.
Not accepted: Light bulbs, single use household batteries, tapes/disks, glass, wood, Styrofoam, broken TV tubes, or any hazardous materials.
Indie Cycle, LLC, has a zero landfill policy. We do not remarket any hard drives or data storage devices.
