We’re excited to share some big changes happening at Weaver Library! As part of our commitment to serving you better, we’ve launched a thoughtful and exciting redesign of the library to make your experience even more welcoming, functional, and inspiring.

Why We're Redesigning

We’re reimagining the library to create:

  • A more welcoming and functional space for everyone
  • A layout that allows staff to be more available to help you
  • Flexible spaces for studying, creating, gathering, and relaxing

Construction Timeline

  • Construction began: December 2024
  • Library closed for final stage: August 27 – September 7, 2025
  • Expected completion: September 7, 2025

We’ll continue sharing updates throughout the project—please follow us on social media or visit our website to stay informed.

What to Expect During Construction

If you’ve visited recently, you may have noticed that construction is already underway, including:

  • Moving and replacing shelving
  • Painting throughout the library
  • Installing new furniture and fixtures
  • Removing half-walls to open up the public space

To complete the final phase of renovations safely, Weaver Library will be temporarily closed from August 27 through September 7. During this time, borrowing services—including returns, materials, and hold pickups—will continue with some adjustments. We’ll post all service changes in advance online and in the library.
