1.   How to I get a library card?

Patrons may get a card by showing proof of Rhode Island residency.  This can be a driver’s license, car registration, checkbook, mail etc. as long as the current address is shown. 

You may also get a card if you show that you are employed or enrolled in a school in RI.  Children under 18 years of age must have a parent or legal guardian sign their application. 

 

2.   Where can I use my library card?

You may use your card at any Rhode Island public library

4.   Can I return books to any library?

Yes you can return book at any CLAN member library.     Most public libraries in the state of Rhode Island are part of the CLAN network  

 

4. How do I search the library catalog?

Go to our Home page then choose  Library Catalog  or directly  http://library.provlib.org

Use "Title" if you know the exact title of a book.
Use "Keyword" if you are not sure of the title or subject.
Use Author to search by an author's name.
