This is a four session story and activity program for children entering kindergarten in the fall of 2014 and their caregivers.  The activities will be based on the RI Getting Ready for Kindergarten Calendar (http://www.olis.ri..gov/services/ready4k/use.php [2]) and RI Early Learning Standards.

Grades 1-5 @WEAVER

Tuesdays, Mar. 18, Apr. 15, May 20 3:45-4:45pm

Use recycled materials to create interesting and unique crafts.


LEGOs @ the Library

Tuesday, Mar. 11, 3:45-4:45pm @WEAVER

Wednesday, Mar. 26, 3:45-4:45pm @RIVERSIDE

LEGO fans are invited to build alongside other kids who love LEGOs.

Read and act out great stories, make crafts, play games, and more!



January 21 – May 17, 2014

Storytimes include stories, songs, music, dancing, and a simple craft or activity.  No registration is necessary.

Storytimes will not meet on February 6, or during February (Feb. 16-22) or April (Apr. 20-26) school vacation weeks.


Wednesdays, 6:30pm, ages 2-6

Thursdays, 9:30am, birth-36 months

Thursdays, 10:30am, ages 3-6

Saturdays, 10:00am, ages 2-6

Play BINGO for prizes.




The library matches volunteers, age 13 – adult, with younger children to read together for one hour each week at the library.  Call 434-2453 for more information.



Get help with homework, studying for an exam, or understanding today’s lesson.  Math, Science, Social Studies, and English – all levels including AP.

LIVE HOMEWORK HELP [3] tutors are available every day from 2:00pm to 10:00pm.


 Do you have fines on your library card?

Kids 16 and younger can “pay” their

overdue fines by reading in the library.

Just tell a librarian when you start and finish reading, and we will waive $1 for every 30 minutes of reading.
