How do I get a Library Card?

Patrons may get a card by showing proof of Rhode Island residency.  This can be a driver’s license, car registration, checkbook, mail etc. as long as the current address is shown.

You may also get a card if you show that you are employed or enrolled in a school in RI. Children under 14 years of age must have a parent or legal guardian sign their application.

How can I Renew Materials?

Over the telephone by calling the library (Weaver  434-2453) or through our automated phone system at 736-0965.
On the web through the Library Catalog ^[2] (click on the link view your patron record and follow prompts for  “items out.” Click the check box next to the items you wish to renew, then click on the “renew” box).

What happens if I Lose or Damage library material?

You can pay the library’s listed price to replace a copy of the item.

You may buy a NEW replacement copy of the item, and bring it in to the library.

Holds and Notices

We have an automated calling system that will notify you when you have items to be picked up, or items overdue. You can give us an email address if your prefer email notification.

Canceling Hold Requests
To delete one hold at a time in the library catalog, check off the title you wish to delete then choose UPDATE LIST.  DO NOT USE CANCEL ALL (this deletes all your holds, and there is no way to get them back).

How do I Reserve A Meeting Room?

We have a small study room that can be used on a first come, first served basis. We also have two larger meeting rooms that can be used by non-profit agencies.
